The 100 Black Men of Metro New Orleans considers economic empowerment as a necessary step toward creating a just society, both here in New Orleans and abroad.

The 100 defines economic empowerment as the ability to create communities that are self-sufficient, self-sustaining, and able to contribute to the overall growth and well being of its neighborhoods and constituents; with the ultimate goal being to engage the local economy positively and productively.
